The classic symptoms of a trolley that requires a new potentiometer are:
- The trolley has an intermittant fault - it won't start sometimes and/or it cuts out when the troll, and/or
- The trolley will sometimes move off on its own with the potentiometer in teh off position, and/or
- The trolley is dead.
